A little about your Chakras…
What is a a Chakra? Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning wheel. It is typically used in reference to 7 primary centers or “wheels” of energy from which we filter all forms of information from the world.
For the past 7 years I have been studying the Chakras in varying capacities, and that has greatly supported me in better understanding myself. They have brought great inspiration to my life. The image below is the first in a 7 painting series of the Chakras…an expression of that inspiration.
1st Chakra – Root Chakra …is the color red and located at the base of the spine. It is our connection to Mother Earth and creates a sense of being grounded and fully present in our physical body. Emotionally it is connected to all aspects of safety, security, and the ability to provide for life’s necessities.
Body Parts: adrenal glands, kidneys, spinal column, colon, legs, bone.
Affiirmation: Deeply rooted and grounded in life, I recognize and honor my authentic nature.
