Crystal Camp

July 25 - 28, 2024

Meet me by the fire and

Sink into a soul nourishing and

Re-wilding experience as you enjoy

A weekend of Forest-Bathing,

Ceremony, and Crystal Divination.

It’s time to Return to Your True Nature!

I can't wait. Sign me up.

a 4-Day Retreat at Sanctuary 906

10 acres of private deep forest land in the Keweenaw Peninsula of Upper Michigan

Thursday, July 25th – Sunday, July, 28th.

Retreat begins at 3pm et on Thursday afternoon and closes at 2pm et on Sunday.

Hello Beautiful Soul,

It is time to reconnect with your True Nature!

2024 is inviting each of us to powerfully embody and stand in the wisdom of our soul. We are being called to more brilliantly shine our light in the world. And many of us are being called to intuitively lead, within our lives, in new and meaningful ways.

This retreat is a space to sink deeper into that energy. Through a forest immersion and connection with the crystals and stones, you will slow down and create space to listen closely to the wisdom of your soul.

During this 4-day adventure you will . . .

  • Re-wild as you disconnect to reconnect. Take a pause from your busy day to day life, and welcome the nourishing forest vibes as an ally for attuning to the Earth’s rhythm.
  • Fine tune your intuitive nature through practices for soulful listening. Expand your capacity to listen to spirit and the voice of your soul. Experience the forest with all of your senses. Let it come alive and reconnect you with your intuition as you delve into the art of divination.
  • Connect with like-minded souls. Gather in sacred space and in joyful experiences as you connect with others ready to cultivate a more meaningful relationship with self through time in nature and inner exploration.

This event will happen at Sanctuary 906 . . . a primitive yet magical space in the Keweenaw Peninsula of Upper Michigan where Chris and I spend our summers enjoying time in the forest, swimming in the crystal clear spring-fed lake, and star-gazing as the night come to a close.

This beautiful space, that we affectionately refer to as camp, is incredibly sacred. The spirit of the land is lively. It is a space for re-wilding through forest-bathing and soulful self connection. You will leave your Crystal Camp experience feeling rejuvenated and truly inspired in your life!

Join me for a soulful weekend of both forest and crystal immersion. I would truly be honored to journey with you.

with love and joy, Lori

Crystal Camp Offering

Here’s what Amanda has to say about Crystal Camp

I am soooo grateful that I was able to attend Lori Andrus’s first Crystal Camp offering.

I feel like soooo much healing, processing, and connection happened in a very short amount of time.

The location where this camp took place is VERY SACRED LAND.  Immediately when you are greeted (with a warm smile) at the main road and taken back into camp, you get the sense that you are SAFE, but there is a spirit of ADVENTURE that really brings out creativity and curiousness.

Every attendee had their own “campsite” which allowed for your own sacred space within the sacred space.

Even though it is very RUSTIC, there was a clean and nice porta potty and also a shower set up if you wanted to shower. I chose to bathe in the absolutely amazing Lake EVA several times and the water was clean/clear and nourishing.  Even though it did rain on an off throughout the weekend, we took shelter and did most of our “sessions” in the large event tent that was set up beautifully.  I happened to know one of the other attendees so it was great to spend some quality time with her but I also really appreciated meeting the others that showed up.  It was truly a special group and we were able to be vulnerable and share with each other which felt very comfortable.

I enjoyed all of the sessions offered, including the bodywork done by Angie which was optional and I am very glad I chose to book a session with her! I also really LOVE the item I created to take with me.

I was on the fence about coming, not because I didn’t want to, but I had some other life factors really making it challenging.  I am sooooo glad I did!  It was truly THE BEST thing I did for myself in all of 2023!

Lori Andrus really knows how to hold BIG, BEAUTIFUL and SACRED space!

What to Expect at the Forest Sanctuary

Day Accommodations

The Forest Sanctuary is Primitive. We are located on a small inland lake near Toivola, MI. Approximately 25 minutes south of Houghton.

Please Note: Meals and Overnight accommodations are not included with your registration (scroll down for more details and options).

Indoor and Outdoor Spaces: We will mostly be outside for this event. But, if it rains, we have the big white canvas wall tent to work within (see picture above). Think glamping tent. This space is heated with a space heater and gets pretty toasty. It’s a wonderful space that is dry and warm.

Parking: There is plenty of space to park.

Bathroom: A port-a-potty is rented for event guests. We also have a hand wash station set up outside. Like camp, it’s primitive. But it’s clean and works very well.

On the trail: Bordering on CFR lands, there are an abundance of old logging roads that we use for trails.

On the Water: Seated on a quiet inland lake. It is spring fed and crystal clear. The water can be a bit chilly, but it is quite refreshing on a warm summer day. A dock, canoe, paddle boards, and life jackets are available. Bring along your swimsuit. Our outdoor shower area is a lovely changing room.

By the fire: Enjoy evenings by the fire for both ceremony and social times.

In the forest: Bordering on CFR lands, we are deep in the forest. Our immediate 10 acres are an abundance of hardwood trees: Oak, Maple, Birch, and Ironwood. This is a very quiet area. Trails, gravel roads, and more are available for wandering and hiking.

Cell service, internet, electricity: Sanctuary 906 may be remote, but it does have all three of the above. How cool is that?!

What people are saying . . .

I thoroughly enjoyed participating in Crystal Camp. The setting was so nurturing and refreshing. The woods, the lake, the campfires, and the amazing women set the tone for a soul nurturing experience.

Lori set a wonderful tone of holding space for whatever everyone needed at any given moment. Our group was diverse, yet connected so easily given Lori’s facilitation. The creative process nudged me out of my comfort zone, but the atmosphere and Lori’s coaching made it very satisfying.

Thanks so much for creating this opportunity Lori!

Forest Sanctuary Location

We are located approximately 30 minutes south of Houghton, MI off Hwy 26.

Arrival and Departure

Arrival time begins at 2pm eastern time on Thursday, August 25th. Our first session begins at 3pm eastern time. Please schedule accordingly.

Departure is by 3pm eastern time on Sunday, August 28th.

If you plan to camp on site, plan your set-up and take-down accordingly.

Weather in the Forest

Weather in the Keweenaw Peninsula is wildly and wonderfully unpredictible. We are located about 10 miles ‘as the crow flies’ from Lake Superior. We are also on the western side of a ridgeline. This means that we have more precipitation and cooler temperatures than other local areas.

The weather changes quickly and while most days are absolutely beautiful, we feel it is important to be ready for anything.

Daytime temperatures are typically between the 60’s-80’s. Evenings and overnight temperatures may be in the 50’s – 60’s.

Plan to bring rain gear, warm clothes, and a swimsuit for the lake. We will spend most of our time outside, connecting with the land – your right gear will help you to be comfortable.

What to Bring?

– Layers of clothing.
– Rain gear.
– Warm jacket.
– Comfortable footwear. From sandles to hikers, bring what you need to keep your feet cozy and comfortable.
– Swimwear. (if you’d like to take a dip in the lake)
– Towel and other shower items. Camp has an on-demand hot water, out-door shower for your use. We will put up a schedule for times.
– Plan your meals. Bring a cooler. Plan to warm things over the fire. Pack your favorite snacks (for yourself, to share, or both)
– Ceremonial items that you like to use. (rattles, drums, incense, feather wands, specific ceremonial attire)
– Camp chair. (I do have several chairs on site, but if you have something specific that is easy to bring along, do so)
– Water Bottle and Favorite Mug. (I will have drinking water and warm beverages on site, but it is helpful if you bring along a water bottle or favorite mug. If you have preferred beverages, please bring those as well.)
– Bug stuff. This means something different for everyone. In fall the bugs are typically not too heavy. And we have well cleared trails and spaces around camp. That said, mosquito season has not yet let up. Last fall the ticks were heavy. So far this year they have been mild. We have bug spay (all sorts) along with mosquito repellant coils that we burn (like an incense). If there is something specific you prefer to use, please bring that along.

Exact location will be shared upon registration. You will also receive directions and other fun details for navigating the northwoods and finding our ‘off the beaten path’ location.

If you are traveling by air, your closest airports are:
Sawyer International Airport in Marquette, MI (approximately 2hr drive)

If you fly, plan to also rent a vehicle. The distance of the airports may add an extra overnight on each end of your journey. Let this be part of the adventure. The drive from both of these airports is gorgeous and filled with unusual and quaint locations along the way. We will give you some tips.
