CRYSTAL CAMP: Amplify Your Light - A 3-Day Forest Immersion + Creation Retreat.

Crystal Camp

August 11 - 13, 2023

Meet me by the fire and

Sink into a soul nourishing

Weekend of Ceremony, Ritual,

and Sacred Crystal Creation.

It’s time to Amplify Your Light!

YES! I'm In.

a 3-Day Retreat at Lori’s Forest Sanctuary

on 10 acres of private deep forest land in the Keweenaw Peninsula of Upper Michigan

Friday, August 11th – Sunday, August 13th.

Retreat begins at 3pm et on Friday afternoon and closes at 2pm et on Sunday.

Hello Creative Spiritual Trailblazer,

2023 is inviting each of us to activate a new level of self expression and energetic alignment. We are being called to more wholly and powerfully shin our light. And many of us are being called to lead, within our lives, in new and meaningful ways.

This retreat is a space to sink deeper into that energy, connect with the crystals, and create a unique, personal talisman to amplify the energy and support you in further weaving your magic in the world.

This event will happen at Sanctuary 906 . . . a primitive yet magical space in the Keweenaw Peninsula of Upper Michigan where Chris and I spend our summers enjoying time in the forest, swimming in the crystal clear spring-fed lake, and star-gazing as the nights come to a close.

This beautiful space, that we affectionately refer to as camp, is incredibly sacred. The spirit of the land has much to say. As we move through these times of change, this sacred space is not only a sanctuary, but also a space to discover what it truly means to Amplify Our Light and shine brilliantly in the world.

If this is resonant for you, I would truly be honored if you would join me.

with love and joy, Lori

Create a Sacred Talisman

That reflects your Inner Wisdom.

Amplifies your Light.

Aligns you with your Vision.

A  Talisman is . . .

a mindfully created sacred object that harnesses the energy of your personal intention and the vibrations of your crystal allies to open a pathway for actualizing your soul’s deepest desires and highest visions!

During this retreat you will get creative and craft a sacred object.

This could be a medicine staff, a piece of jewelry, a talking stick, a feather wand, or other sacred object that holds meaning to you.

Lori will pull out an extensive collection of crystal and stone beads, assorted feathers, leather, silk cord, and so much. Nature will happily provide items such as bark, branches, sticks, etc.

Then you will be guided to sink into a creative flow and bring your sacred item to life.

This is such a fun process.

As you create, you will be guided to . . .

– receive messages and insights from the crystals.
– weave your intention into your creation.
– activate your creation as an ally.

* PLEASE NOTE

– I will have an abundance of materials available. That said, there are times when specific or specialty materials want to be part of a creation . . . for example specific feathers, crystals, other found objects or more specialty types of materials. Often these are specific items spirit gifts you to in your perfect timing. They may or may not be in your hands before or during the retreat. If they are not, don’t worry. This truly is part of the magic.

What to Expect at the Forest Sanctuary

Day Accommodations

The Forest Sanctuary is Primitive. We are located on a small inland lake near Toivola, MI. Approximately 25 minutes south of Houghton.

Please Note: Meals and Overnight accommodations are not included with your registration.

Indoor and Outdoor Spaces: We will mostly be outside for this event. But, if it rains, we have the big white canvas wall tent to work within (see picture above). Think glamping tent. This space is heated with a space heater and gets pretty toasty. It’s a wonderful space that is dry and warm.

Parking: There is plenty of space to park.

Bathroom: we rent a port-a-potty and have it refreshed regularly. We also have a hand wash station set up outside.
Like camp, it’s primitive. But it’s clean and works very well.

On the trail: we border on CFR lands and there is an abundance of old logging roads that we use for trails.

On the Water: our quiet, inland lake is a private lake accessed only by the surrounding property owners. It is spring fed and crystal clear. The water can be a bit chilly, but it is quite refreshing on a warm summer day. we have a dock, canoe, paddle boards, and life jackets. Bring along your swimsuit. Our outdoor shower area is a lovely changing room.

By the fire: we have multiple fire rings . . . spaces to be social and space to step into ceremony. We will be using both.

In the forest: Our land is surrounded by CFR lands. Our immediate 10 acres are an abundance of hardwood trees: Oak, Maple, Birch, and Ironwood. This is a very quiet area. Trails, gravel roads, and more are available for wandering and hiking.

Cell service, internet, electricity: we are remote, but we have all three of the above. How cool is that?!

Forest Sanctuary Location

We are located approximately 30 minutes south of Houghton, MI off Hwy 26.

Precise location details and directions will be shared with registration.

The Forest Sanctuary is approximately 2.5 miles from a main access road. The driveway is well maintained and easy to access with a standard vehicle.

Weather in the Forest

Weather in the Keweenaw Peninsula is wildly and wonderfully unpredictible. We are located about 10 miles ‘as the crow flies’ from Lake Superior. We are also on the western side of a ridgeline. This means that we have more precipitation and cooler temperatures than other local areas.

The weather changes quickly and while most days are absolutely beautiful, we feel it is important to be ready for anything.

Daytime temperatures are typically between the 60’s-80’s. Evenings and overnight temperatures may be in the 50’s – 60’s.

What to Bring?

– Layers of clothing.
– Rain gear.
– Warm jacket.
– Comfortable footwear. From sandles to hikers, bring what you need to keep your feet cozy and comfortable.
– Swimwear. (if you’d like to take a dip in the lake)
– Any materials you would like to use with your creation.
– Preferred snacks. (for yourself or to share or both)
– Ceremonial items that you like to use. (rattles, drums, incense, feather wands, specific ceremonial attire)
– Camp chair. (I do have several chairs on site, but if you have something specific that is easy to bring along, do so)
– Water Bottle and Favorite Mug. (I will have drinking water and warm beverages on site, but it is helpful if you bring along a water bottle or favorite mug. If you have preferred beverages, please bring those as well.)
– Bug stuff. This means something different for everyone. In fall the bugs are typically not too heavy. And we have well cleared trails and spaces around camp. That said, mosquito season has not yet let up. Last fall the ticks were heavy. So far this year they have been mild. We have bug spay (all sorts) along with mosquito repellant coils that we burn (like an incense). If there is something specific you prefer to use, please bring that along.

Travel - by car + by air.

Exact location will be shared upon registration. You will also receive directions and other fun details for navigating the northwoods and finding our ‘off the beaten path’ location.

The Forest Sanctaury is located about 25 minutes south of Houghton, MI, just off hwy 26.

If you are traveling by air, your closest airports are:
Sawyer International Airport in Marquette, MI (approximately 2hr drive)
Austin Straubel International Airport in Green Bay, WI (approximately 4hr drive)

If you fly, plan to also rent a vehicle. The distance of the airports may add an extra overnight on each end of your journey. Let this be part of the adventure. The drive from both of these airports is gorgeous and filled with unusual and quaint locations along the way. We will give you some tips.
